An Orthodontics Limerick

When I found out that I needed braces
I was scared and made really sad faces.
But I learned they'd be pink
And I started to think
That my teeth should go in their right
places!
They opened my mouth really wide
And put my new braces inside.
Then it became clearer
When I looked in the mirror
My new smile was too great to hide!

Welcome to our office. We value your trust and appreciate the opportunity to work with you to provide you with a beautiful smile. Our wide variety of services allows us to treat patients of all ages and all variations of concerns.
 Our patients and families are our greatest asset. We constantly strive to make your visits enjoyable and comfortable. Positive reinforcement is used to help with motivation during your care. This includes on going contests and drawings for prizes. Orthodontic treatment is a joint effort between the patient and our staff. We will strive to enhance this team effort.
We believe that the benefits of orthodontic treatment should be for a lifetime. With the cooperation of the patient, my staff and I will do our best to provide the highest quality of orthondontic care.

SCHEDULING
We try to schedule appointments so that the longer procedures (records, consultations, initial appliance placements and brace removal) are made in the morning and early afternoon hours. Routine adjustments are scheduled during early morning and after school hours.
We will try to handle emergencies as they occur. Dr. Wendell's home and emergency contact phone numbers will be provided for problems that may occur after office hours.

FEES, PAYMENTS AND INSURANCE
Orthodontic fees are individual and are based on the complexity of the case, the length of treatment, and the appliances required to complete the treatment. Often multiple options for treatment may be available which can affect the total fee.
Our office offers a wide variety of payment options to meet your budget. We have inoffice finance plans, which include no interest, low down payment options, and discounts for payment in full. We also offer financing through a third party, which offers a longer payment schedule. For your convenience, we also accept Visa and MasterCard.
As a courtsey to our patients, we will file your insurance claims and will make every effort to determine what portion of your treatment will be covered by your insurance. A pre-treatment estimate may be necessary to determine the limits of coverage. We will file insurance claims for most all companies; as orthodontic providers, our direct relationship is with our patients, not the insurance companies. We ask that the benefits be paid directly to the policy owner and not to our office. All charges are ultimately the responsibility of the patient, or in the case of a minor, the patient's responsible party.

RETENTION AND FOLLOW-UP CARE
Following orthodontic treatment with active appliances, retainers will be placed. Retainers are an essential part of the overall treatment. They maintain the teeth in their newly established positions and allow the muscles and tissues to adapt. We will continue to monitor our patients during this important stage of treatment.
Bleaching and/or cosmetic restorations of the teeth may be indicated following the orthodontic treatment. These procedures enhance the new smile we've created. Our office will coordinate with your family dentist should any fo these esthetic treatment options be beneficial.
We encourage our patients to visit their family dentist for routine dental care during their orthodontic treatment. Your dentist will be informed of your treatment plan. We value the close relationship we maintain with our referring dentists. The success of our treatment is dependent on the continued maintenance of our patients' oral health. As always, it's a team effort.
